Curel Itch Defense- First Impressions #Curel #Influenster

Hey guys!

Today I received another VoxBox from Influenster.com! If you don't know what Influenster is, it's a website that is totally free all you need is an email and you get to review products. If you are active enough on the website, you can get picked to do a survey and then they can send you free products to review. This is my second VoxBox. This time it is lotion! I received the Cruel Itch Defense Spray lotion and a sample body wash.

My initial thought of this product is it would be really liquidy since it is in an aerosol spray like the sunscreens you can buy, however that is not the case! It is a lot thicker than I was expecting!

So before I even sprayed this on my skin, I wanted to know what was so special about this product and what was in it. This product has ceramides, which are fatty molecules found on the surface of the skin to help keep the skin cells together. So this could explain why this lotion is more pricey compared to others.

(I sprayed too much!)

It does have a slight scent, it smells like orange to me, but I think every Cruel product has this scent so it did not bother me. However, after it was on the skin for a few minutes, the orange smell went away and it just smelled like regular lotion, nothing like Bath and Body Works!

After I first applied the spray and rubbed it into my legs, I had some irritation from shaving the day before and it kind of irritated that a bit, however most lotion does that to me so this wasn't a huge issue. The product claims to cool the skin, however I found it only did this for a few seconds after I rubbed it in as it was drying. This cooling effect will probably relieve itchy skin, however my skin is not itchy at the moment so I cannot test for this!

However, once the product dried, my legs and arms felt really moisturized and smooth which is a plus!

The bottle version of this lotion is $4.97 at Walmart and the spray version is $8.99 at Target.

I am not a huge fan of spray lotions because they can be messy and get everywhere. So this product to me isn't worth the money for the spray. I still have to rub it in my legs just like any other lotion. If I was buying this product, I would save a few dollars and just buy the pump version!

I also received a sample of the body wash. It smells similar to the spray, however after using it it smelled like soap. My first thoughts of this product is it did not do anything different than any other body wash I have tried. It retails for about $6 at Target, so I would save the few extra dollars and just buy another body wash. Maybe the long term effects of this are better compared to other body washes but at first glance I wasn't impressed.

I received this product complimentary to review from Influenster. If you want to review free products click the link below! Thanks for reading! :)
